How do you re-launch the DF as suggested by the PM's first lieutenant?? It exists everyday of the week as supporters pay in the their standing orders, drop change into the barrels and buy PFTG tickets. It is ring fenced from Club operating funds, to be reserved for the development of the ground. The rules are very clear.
With all the song and dance over the last year or so promoting the DF to raise funds for ground development and in particular the SMRE we should have a very healthy balance in the DF. So where has the money gone from the ring fenced account? Why is the Club waiting on further grants to start the SMRE? The funds should be there.
If the funds aren't there then where are the Board minutes confirming the decision for the Club to break it's own rules and use the DF to prop up the operation side of the Club? It's a betrayal of supporters and members. Where are the reassurances that it won't happen again? How can supporters be sure their DF donations aren't going to be used to continue paying the CEO's salary amongst other things?
Don't fall for the "we're going to set up a trust/charity/other body to run and distribute it". That has been looked into on numerous occasions and it doesn't work. The rules are already in place, it shouldn't be beyond the employees at the Club not to touch the balances in the DF for anything other than what they are meant.
I expect the former Board member previously in charge of the DF to keep pushing for a full reconciliation of the DF to find out where the money has gone and what the balance ought to be.

The farce going on at the moment referred to today on the official forum would be laughable were it not so serious a matter. And still the PM tries to rewrite history, he's getting very tedious now.

There's a Board meeting tonight so I hope they get it sorted and explain what happened and where we go from here. I don't want to bang on about transparency but members donated for a specific purpose and now the money's gone.

Anyone know if enough Board members turned up last night?

The players shirts from the 14/15 season are up for grabs for the DF. That's great so long as the funds go to the DF. There needs to be reassurance from the board that Club rules on the DF will be adhered to along with an explanation of where the last 18 months worth of DF donations have gone.

There's a good news story on the club website about an FC supporter winning £1000 in the weekly draw run by Lancashire CCC. Our share of the profits goes to the DF. Great, so where is it?
The approved minutes for Decembers Board meeting state that in the PM's first properly constituted Board Meeting he was able to comment - "there had been a misconception that the Development Fund was underpinning the club’s operational budget, but this in fact is incorrect as DF funds are being transferred to club funds for payments that are meeting on-going costs of the ground build."
Up until that point there has been no comment by other Board members on what has happened to the DF funds, and yet the PM is, apparently, immediately able to put his hands on the details. If so readily available to the PM I presume these figures are available for publication to members? If not why not?
Could it be because the PM is talking a load of bull? The only comments you hear about the development of the ground are requests for donations of paint and help with deliveries etc. Where has £100,000 + disappeared to?
The silence is deafening.

I see "Baxter" is running the London Marathon for the Development Fund. Very noble of him. He'd contribute a lot more as a Board member if he found out what had happened to all the DF funds raised in the last 20 months rather than asking people to pour more money down a black hole.

Interesting that suddenly all the PFTG and Barrel figures have appeared after a 6 month hiatus. Strange that the figures go right back to the first season at BP, when the club was still run by the "old regime". Close inspection shows that the income that first season was far superior to the following 18 months when the "new regime" were in charge. The overall effect is that it swells the total raised since we opened BP and to the average supporter all is well. One can only assume that the PM is happy to use previous income data when it suits his purpose.

Now the gala dinner is announced. A mere £140. No doubt his cronies will make it successful.Grandad will whip up as many foot soldiers. This is another nail as far as I'm concerned. Imagine this 12 years ago. They made a mockery of the last incumbents attempt yet do exactly the same. Again.

Remind me again how the said person developed a superb funding deal for the SMRE only for it to be torpedoed by the PM for a far inferior deal which still hasn't delivered a penny. Remind me again of the income that's been lost over the last two years that a developed SMRE would have delivered had it not been sabotaged by the PM. Remind me again how much gate money and second spend money would have been generated over the last two years by the average 1000 more supporters who were attending games before the PM destroyed the club to satisfy his ego. Remind me again how much the PM doesn't give a shit about anybody or anything other than himself.

As being a club that represents the underdog or did once nobody wanted to pay that much which was and is right. And, plus as you will remember the Pm was at the peak of his and his cronies task removing each member of the board and management. Which did have a tidgy bit of an impact as nobody would disobey the master.

What is this twaddle from the PM's number one lapdog? "The DF is now ring-fenced, monies raised going forward will be solely used for the club's development and community work."
I've got news for you, it has been ring fenced by resolution for nearly 10 years now. However it was ring fenced for the development of the ground only NOT community work. Are dodgy volunteers making up their own rules and policies now? Did this "volunteer" pass his own resolution without anyone knowing? Has he found out what happened to all the money raised in the last two years for the DF? Are the people responsible for the missing DF funds going to be sanctioned, removed from office for breaking Club rules? Someone should put a motion to the next Board meeting to remove this twerp as a minimum.

The lapdog has just posted an interesting comment regarding the guest speakers at next Tuesdays '68 anniversary event. "On arrival they will be given a short tour of the ground which should impress I think."
What? The previous regime built a ground that we are proud to show off? Be careful now.
