There seems to be an air of calm around the place at the moment. It almost lulls you into a false sense of security thinking that everything could turn out well in the end. Then you wake up, look at the lack of season ticket sales and realise that the PM is probably only temporarily distracted whilst away on business. Nah, the damage done is still terminal.

I certainly won't be buying one never mind the two we used to have. I also won't go near the place while the odour of the man remains there. I will be attempting to take my Cs out when I can.

There are many who will never return now no matter what happens.

You are so so right. It's all behind me now and can't see myself going back. Too much water under the bridge. It's only because I invested so much time and money in the club, that keeps me interested. I always said that the journey would be better than the destination, and how true has that proved to be. The PM and his fanatics must be pretty pleased with themselves, looking at the way they have fucked us all off. I have more than enough in my life to keep me occupied, unlike the PM who seems only to have vitriol and his ticket touting ( that in itself is a cheap and sordid way to earn a living). He's probably sucking up to the Russian gangsters at the moment

The king of MS Word thesaurus earning a living abroad making money from football fans. How dignified. In the true nature of Fc. Now maybe.

The Members meeting seemed to go well, albeit with a small attendance.
Was the PM present? Not heard mention that he was and his ego dictates it always becomes about him. Must be a strong link between the lack of insidiously aggressive and harmful influence on show and the positive vibe emanating from the evening.
He’ll be back from Ticket touting soon and sniping away. The ego dictates to him that it is still F.C.U. of Me.

Apropos of the members meeting and the thread on TSIO, a big shout out to Hipple's lapdog when he reads this.
I'm pleased my username exercises you so much, I'm clearly doing something right if I'm annoying you in any way. So, to the username, when I registered on here it was around the time the PM seemed to punctuate his many threads with a particular "mot du jour" which he'd use to the point of exhaustion before looking up Thesaurus for something else, the word he was using ad infinitim at that point was grandstanding........
As for the legendary combovered broadcaster himself I really think you need to brush up on what constitutes a "sex case"...the scandal that made the headlines involved stories of the Boughster taking cocaine and fucking whores.......what a nonce eh!

It just feels like the club can breathe without him around. He was still throwing his childish insults from afar the way of the player manager last week, calling him a 'fraud'.
You'd like to believe that the positivity from the meeting would last long enough to get us moving again, but you just know that he'll barrel in again and the lickspittles will follow.

Pre 2015 there wouldn't be a debate about watching the derby match on TV or going to watch Fc. Fc won hands down. Now a game is moved to accomodate the England match. And guess what? No debate. Speaks volumes about the present day fan. It was Utd>England then as we shifted to Fc it was FC>Utd. Albeit after a Saturday game many would leave a bit early to get to OT. Oh how the club has `moved' forward.

I didn't know there was an FC game, and to move it for an England game, well how times have sadly changed ! Is it too late to type 'Boycott' ?

The number of season tickets is a real indication of the attractiveness of the club to football supporters and the local community.
Would be useful to see a record of the numbers sold, for the Summers of: 2015 2016 2017 2018
Could then plot it on a graph and compare the same 3 year period against a line for the same period showing the degree of involvement of the PM and his sheep.

Remember when we used to sing "you can shove your fucking England up your arse" every time an England game clashed with ours Just shows how the football club has changed in thought and deed. The red rebels mantra is well and truly dead. RIP

It was a pre-season friendly against Irlam in a World Cup year. Does it really matter if it was moved back 24 hours at their request to accommodate people who may have wanted to watch both games? Who did the decision adversely impact? Perhaps nobody but it gives you whingebags something to bother your keyboards with?

I don't have the figures but this is the time of the year when the office should be working their socks off to generate as much cash as possible from Season Tickets and getting members to renew to stay involved and be supportive financially and otherwise.
According to figures on the official we had 595 ST's at this stage last season including 3 year ST's which totalled 66 ultimately (it doesn't say how many 3 year ST's by this point). We currently have 434 not including the 3 year ST total. So that's somewhere between 96 and 161 down on this time last year and we have spent the three year ST money a long time ago. From a cash flow point of view that's a long way behind when you remember each 3 year ST last year was £1000 (incl VAT) which we haven't got this year or next.
The CEO's package is in excess of £5,000 a month so it looks like we'll generate just enough to keep him in a job for the summer. Good recruiting job, great value for money.

I reckon eventually a similar number of season tickets will be sold compared to last year by August but I can't see a major increase taking place in membership or ST's for the numbers required to maintain financial stability in the short term at least. The website mentions 700+ adult tickets and over 1200 in total as a target but that is pretty optimistic if not wholly unrealistic. If the numbers don't increase much from the 434 already sold plus substantial extra donations on top then I think the situation will become perilous....questions must be asked why the club is losing supporters year on year. The public profile of FC is now virtually non-existent. In the old days when it was something to be proud of for me, I used to get asked about how we were doing all the time etc. Now no one remembers it. Bad news if there's any intentions in making it grow. I doubt the current regime has the wherewithal to do it.
