The official forum got controversial this week.
The usual one man and his dog who normally populate the place with chatter to an ever diminishing group of members got joined by a rabid crowd either baying for the blood of a FB-er or defending the MKD crowd. If you don't know all those initials your not ITK.
Some different viewpoints were finally expressed on FC's Pravda and they got the usual abuse from the usual suspects. Unfortunately the mods got fed up deleting unsubstantiated guff and locked the thread. Wimps. We were having fun at the highjinks and some good gossip came out.
We learnt that a current board member was happy to accuse a member of theft without evidence, refuse to apologise, then whinge about the hard work of being on the board and having to deal with complaints. He named his forum victim as both a serial complainer and subject of other complaints.
A previous serial complainer and subject of complaints waded in, but he didn't get abuse from the board member.
Sometimes being someone's a mate is ok. Or not being a mate is ok.
A member is threatening to sue the club, which is now very, very bad. I'm confused, because it used to be ok when someone else sent legal letters again and again.
There was a discussion about whether a member with a first name starting with J commonly used another initial of P. He doesn't and the ITK-ers all had a laugh.
Someone mentioned that one of the new board candidates has been accused of assaulting someone. It was pointed out the same new candidate was serving on the bar in CYCM on the same day as the game when money went missing. Thats fact, not defamation. I'm reviewing my voting choices, which is also fact not defamation.
Transparency still rules and all of a sudden board members who barely post about anything other than money, money, money joined in supporting their co-boardy. One suggested the alleged assault should have been reported to the police, not the club. I've got 999 on speed dial now for when the board/hooly gang pick on me.
Some seemed to suggest smuggling drink onto terraces is more serious than assault, or invading the pitch, or assaulting someone when invading the pitch and knickers were creamed when someone dobbed someone in for smuggling drink into the ground, even though the same someone had already been caught and allegedly had his volunteer pass removed. I can dob people in like that. Them Kray twins were a bit naughty you know.
A board member told us the club is ****** and we've got no money. That's the old board's fault, or AW's, or anyone that they can stick blame on. It's not their fault that hardly anyone is buying season tickets, or coming to games, or going to events (single figure teams at the quiz night, a third of the room closed at the comedy night), but those fan's current decisions are all the fault of people in charge 6 months ago, not those in charge now.
The best bit of news though is Peter Griffin is allegedly running the show. I'm checking out every fat guy in green trousers till i find him. Makes a change from everyone having a go at a skinny guy in orange trousers.
