Although very disturbed by what happened over the 12 months following the move to BP, I decided not to walk away but stay and try to help OUR club succeed. What I have witnessed over the last few months has unfortunately made me feel I can no longer be part of it. Ten years of volunteering has finished. I'm not 'throwing my toys out', but in all concience cannot continue to be part it. That's not good, Greg. I would be interested to know what exactly was pricking your conscience though.

And I would love to make it public! However it involves others and I wouldn't want to put them in an awkward position. Hopefully at some point these things will come out.

has another reply to oddball been deleted? The draft figures for that game were released on the members forum, that showed it was a financial success, certainly more benificial than the alternative - do nothing and have no money coming in that weekend, why do you think your understanding of the figures from that game is better than the board members reporting them? Hands up then, I stand corrected on that. Can I ask why you're so interested in posts being deleted in reply to mine? I have no idea if some have but if so maybe they were abusive?

I had posted and then deleted so nothing sinister in this particular instance.

FCUM is a political organisation with a football club attached. No it isn't. It's a football club for Manchester United supporters and their families who won't stand for being fucked about.

Interesting to see that one of the SS has admitted this on the official - "the Walshocracy were forced out". An admittance that it was nothing to do with democracy.
Be careful current Board members and CEO you could be next.

Has anyone seen or heard anything of the lesser spotted CEO? One resignation after another and members of the board getting in the neck and he is conspicuous by his absence.

Interesting to see that one of the SS has admitted this on the official - "the Walshocracy were forced out". An admittance that it was nothing to do with democracy. Be careful current Board members and CEO you could be next. ....and the same sycophant now moaning that the Gala Dinner had to be organised by volunteers and not by the people brought in to run the club. A pitiful lack of perception that it was the action of him and others, ordered by the PM obviously, that “forced out” dozens of volunteers, loyal company employees, and long standing fans and their money. How would he feel about doing this volunteering for years and years, week after week, and then getting abuse and negative comments from numerous sad sycophants who had done the square root of f** all in that time. Now further comments about lack of help from club employees, board members and volunteers. Again when will it sink in? Look in the mirror. if you hadn’t been a major contributor to allowing your mate and other SS to drive away people who were good at doing some of the tasks that now need doing, you would have more people available to do it, and also more of a superior standard of work. You reap what you sow. We had Adam Brown, now got Baker. The CEO was a done deal arranged by your mate(s), so ask him/them why they are failing. I hear that this person has a senior position with a bank. I thought the corporate world was full of away-day courses on how to keep and improve employee/customer engagement and motivation. Must think it only applies to his day job and not his weekend hobby.

And now a Board member has resigned after finally admitting that the DF fund (no doubt including the Gala dinner proceeds) has been used to prop up the operational side of the Club, against explicit Club rules well known by everyone.
Transparency??!!!
What has the CEO been doing? Busy doing nothing by the looks of things.

"I recognise the strain it puts on your personal and working life"
How gracious and generous those words from one of the (admittedly milder) members of the rabid SS cabal.

I've just had a look at Damien's May report and he says that we were still overdrawn but that the Gala dinners and continuing season ticket sales should change that. If we were overdrawn then what has happened to all the DF fundraising throughout the season and the season ticket renewal money up to the report date? Am I missing something?

Had another look at this.
The CEO's report was dated 21st May and we were still overdrawn. The nearest update to that on season tickets was 23rd May at which stage we'd sold 51 3 year tickets and 316 1 year tickets. The current total is 56 3 year tickets and 454 1 year tickets.
We've only sold 5 more 3 year ST's from the time we were overdrawn. That doesn't look too healthy.

Soon to be hung by their own petard - they preached that they were fiscally responsible and the previous board were throwing money away - the evidence is that they have reduced our income, crowds, season tickets, members - virtually everything that matters is down!
How many volunteers have they lost?
The club has turned inwards into a little cult that feeds off hate and is simply delusional - it shows the danger of anything like this....but they will continue to follow Jim Jones to Jonestown. My membership expires in two weeks and will not be renewed, the only thing i'm waiting for now is the time when I can collect what i'm owed in community shares. It's sad it's come to this but it's gone now.

I don't understand. Why are members are congratulating the Board for that?
